scale for 0 to 10; 0-3 is calm with normal acsess to skills and problem solving, 4-7 is somewhat stressed and skills like skeptisism and rationalization get used, and 8-10 is the fight/flight(/freeze/fawn (submit)) response.
Most people in 8-10 will try to imidiatly get to 0, this is usualy self distructive; it is better to go in steps of 1-3 down the scale.
